Preliminary/Final Plot Plans for permitting

A Plot Plan is a plan drawn to scale showing the entire property (including all property lines) with the existing and proposed structures, including parking. Plot plans are typically required with all permit and zoning applications submitted to local permitting agencies.

Feasibility Study

A feasibility study is an assessment of the practicality of a proposed plan or project.

Preliminary Site Design

During the Preliminary Design phase, the engineer collaborates with the client to create the overall layout for the site. This is a conceptual plan to show the overall layout without a lot of details.

Final Site Design

The Final Site Design begins with the preliminary design and creates a set of drawings that represent the project with all the details required to construct the project. The final site design can include items such as an environmental impact of the project, permitting, subsurface characteristics, wetlands delineation, and zoning. Civil engineering site designers will coordinate with other professionals associated with the project, including architects, engineers and contractors.

Sedimentation & Erosion Control Plans

A set of plans prepared by or under the direction of a licensed professional Engineer indicating the specific measures and sequencing to be used to control sediment and erosion on a development site during and after construction.

Subdivision Design

Subdivision typically includes the creation of a sketch plan (showing basic lot layout and provisions for public infrastructure), and subsequent creation of a more detailed preliminary plat (indicating building footprints and specific measurements), and then culminating in a final plat that creates the new lots.

Construction Staking

Construction Staking is the process of interpreting construction plans and staking the location of proposed new structures such as roads, utilities, or buildings. Construction staking is performed to ensure a project is built according to engineering design plans.
